This index consists of two digits. The first indicates protection against solid bodies, the second protection against liquid bodies. For outdoor use, each Index must be at least 4. Thus, the minimum IP that you can choose is IP 44, being careful to use it only in protected outdoor covered terrace. For outdoor lighting, the appropriate indices are IP 65 and IP 68.
